GRCNSW Specialty 2025

This year the Golden Retriever Club of NSW Specialty Shows were held in the same beautiful venue as 2024, which makes for some great photo opportunities.

Both Tilly and Carrie were entered and handled the conditions really well. This day it felt like a cyclone ripped through the venue multiple times! There was flags flying, tables flipping, things flying off tables, it was all happening. And of course it's all happening whilst the poor dogs are in the ring.

Tilly placed third in her class, which was fine she received a critique which is great! She's better suited for tree climbing this day she decided.

(Tilly) Miss A Cooper (UK) - "More compact than the first and second and again needs more coat, pretty head, good length of neck, level topline, good bone with neat feet."

Carrie was the star however winning Best Minor Puppy In Show!

(Carrie) Miss A Cooper (UK) - "Loved this young girl, feminine head with kind expression, good length of neck flowing into well laidback shoulders, good length of upper arm placing the nicely boned front legs well under her body, level topline with short couplings, good bend of stifle with good width of second thigh, neat feet, well presented showing a clean balanced outline. Best Minor Puppy in Show."

I also had the privilege of taking Garry (Giltedge Look At Gary) and Milkshake (Giltedge Look At Milkshake) for a spin! With Garry winning Opposite Junior in Show!

Garry and Milkshake are both Carrie's full siblings.

At this show the judge, Ms Annie Cooper, gifted the Class in Show winners a keychain made out of tweed fabric from the original mill on the Guisachan Estate (the place where the Golden Retriever breed was developed). These gifts are so treasured.
